On September, 12 in Anapa the XVII Open cinema festival of the CIS and Baltic countries began.

Throughout all years since the first «Kinoshok» in 1992 it has strongly taken a leading place in cultural life on the post-Soviet territory, having become an open window in the cinema world of the CIS countries and the Baltic states.

«While the political world map separates people more and more, we in cinemas of Anapa, and other cities of Krasnodar region gather all those who are interested in the great art of cinema», — the permanent president of the festival Victor Merezhko said. This year within the frameworks of the festival it is planned to have five competitive programs — feature films, TV-shock, «Cinema for kids», «Cinema without film strip» and the festival of short films «Short-shock». Also out-of-competition, information and retrospective shows are planned. Five juries of the main competitions, out of them one is viewers and one is children, will be watching these films daily all day long in order to call the best one on September, 21.

«Kinoshok» became an original holiday not only for the inhabitants of our city, but also for all who appreciate remarkable art of cinema», — the head of the municipality of Anapa city-resort thinks.
